A trip to El Gouna~

12:23 AM

El Gouna, is situated along the Red Sea in Egypt and is a town developed by Orascom. I visited there last year in September and wanted to share the pictures I had taken of such a beautiful place. Its a small town, and very well developed, well staffed and best things of all is that its peaceful.

At night there are activities such as concerts or traditional dances, and buffet all set at the Marina. Everything shuts down by 10pm to 11pm. Yes! that means peace after that. You can go for a walk along the beach,  watch beautiful moonlight, have a drink, or just watch TV at the hotel room. :)

During the day there are a whole lot of fun activities like Desert Safari, Scuba Diving, Submarine taking you into the red sea to let you experience the coral reef, Kite Surfing, a trip on a Yacht and a lot more.

On our way to El Gouna
While having rest at Porto Sokhna

Whats for Dinner!

3:41 PM

Last night I made Lemon fish with caramelized onions and mushroom. Served with french fries and mushroom and feta stuffed puff pastry. The fish came out so well/ its just so simple and amazingly delicious :)

Baked Eggplant~

1:43 PM

Tried Baked Eggplants today and they were so good. This is Rachel Allen's recipe here.
I actually added Feta and Cheddar Cheese instead of Mozzarella. :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

The Love for Moroccan Tiles~

12:12 AM

I had to post this picture of beautiful Moroccan Tiles - all set on a table at a restaurant. Aren't they so pretty!
I personally love such tiles and anything which is colorful :)

Hope everyone had a nice weekend :)

Porto Marina, Egypt

3:21 PM

So finally we reached Porto Marina, which is a beautiful resort along the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt.
The weather was quite cold so the beaches were closed and there werent many people around. But we enjoyed, the cold, food and scenery around us.

See What I Found~

11:22 PM

Its just the moment when I saw this beautiful floral cup and saucer with a beautiful tin storage box - I was in Love with it :). I mean I simply had to buy it - I just so admire things like this. My kitchen has to be colorful no matter what.  Luckily this box came with two cup set so I am glad that I can serve two at the same time.

I am off to a one day escape to Mediterranean Sea, so hoping to bring in some nice and colorful pictures to share :) Au Voir

11:01 PM

Its been a while since I wrote anything!
I am back in Cairo, with all the hustle and bustle. I was simply delighted to visit Zamalek the other day, which could also be known as Mini Manhattan~ Anyhow its a brilliant place with some great restaurants, bookstores, Antique galleries and yes beautiful shops selling handmade, local Egyptian stuff.

Its just so overwhelming when I smell the beautiful aromas of food around me. There is this lovely dining place known as Cairo Kitchen, with authentic Egyptian Cuisine. I tried mouth watering ShrimpTagine and Roasted honey glazed Chicken!!Yum :) So Divine! Sadly couldnt took some nice pictures!

I simply love exploring towns, streets and markets and then I came across this lovely shop selling some beautiful scarfs/stoles, books and some artistic stuff made by local Egyptian artists, this was all at~ Turath
